I painted this quicky on a workshop yesterday, to demonstrate what a spraycan is capable of. Yeah I know its quite boring, with the usual color combo and composition.
The Busho Walk is – in my opinion – visually the most intresting Hungarian tradition.
“According to the most popular legend, during the Turkish occupation of the territory, people from Mohács fled the town, and started living in the nearby swamps and woods to avoid Ottoman (Turkish) troops. One night, while they were sitting and talking around the fire, an old Šokac man appeared suddenly from nowhere, and said to them: “Don’t be afraid, your lives will soon turn to good and you’ll return to your homes. Until that time, prepare for the battle, carve various weapons and scary masks for yourselves, and wait for a stormy night when a masked knight will come to you.” He disappeared as suddenly as he arrived. The refugees followed his orders, and some days later, on a stormy night, the knight arrived. He ordered them to put on their masks and go back to Mohács, making as much noise as possible. They followed his lead. The Turks were so frightened by the noise, the masks, and the storm in the night, that they thought demons were attacking them; and they ran away from the town before sunrise.”

This idea has been stuck in my mind for years now. There were always something coming in the way when I wanted to execute it. But today I have finally managed to paint this biggie.
I made a sketch in 2009 with pretty much the same idea:
And here is a couple more photos of the tradtional mask and event.
Sick! Aint it!?
I have always been a fiend for markers. Now I have found some stunning photos of they produce the Montana Black markers.

Dj Slow’s forthcoming album One.Zero is soon out on DDK records! The man really stays true to his name, this album has been under construction for years now, but it is for sure that you can expect quality beats. It is coming out on vinyl, which is – I think – really dope in 2012.
Cover art is created by yours truly:
The original idea of the cover were done in Slow’s flat a couple years ago and when he called me to ask me to do his album cover, he asked for the same idea, but slighty more detailed.
Here is the original wall from 2009:
